Acceptable Use Policy (AUP)
Effective date: November 16, 2025
Entity: IZA NOIR LLC ("Civica", "Civica Jamaica", "we", "us")
This Acceptable Use Policy applies to all services provided by IZA NOIR LLC, a United States based limited liability company. Civica is an online community platform serving individuals in Jamaica and other regions.
The purpose of this AUP is to maintain a trusted, transparent, and safe environment for accurate community reporting. By using Civica, you agree to follow these rules.
1. Core Principles
Civica exists for the public good and relies on truthful, helpful, and responsible contributions. You may not use Civica in any way that interferes with community safety, disaster relief coordination, transparency, fairness, data accuracy, or the wellbeing of residents and responders. Your use must always support the integrity of the platform.
2. Prohibited Activities
2.1 Submit false or misleading community information
Do not create fake needs, exaggerate hazards, fabricate emergencies, post false urgent updates, intentionally mislead responders, or manipulate resource distribution.
2.2 Harm or exploit the community
Do not cause panic or fear, misdirect relief efforts, use Civica to target or harass individuals or neighborhoods, exploit the platform for personal gain, or intentionally obstruct community assistance.
2.3 Abuse the platform or attempt to manipulate data
Do not mass submit to skew reporting, generate harmful noise or spam, use bots or scripts to auto post, circumvent rate limits, interfere with offline caching, reverse engineer APIs, or scrape without written permission.
2.4 Compromise security
Do not attempt to access restricted areas, disrupt servers, databases, or network operations, bypass security protections, tamper with device logging or visitor ID assignment, or submit malware, harmful code, or malicious links.
2.5 Violate law or rights
Do not engage in illegal activity, infringe copyrights or trademarks, post content you do not have rights to, or violate privacy by exposing personal data of others.
3. Accuracy Requirements for Community Reports
Given Civica's purpose, you must submit only fact based information, avoid speculation unless clearly labeled, mark needs or hazards you personally observed or verified, use photos responsibly and truthfully, represent locations as accurately as possible, and avoid duplicate spam submissions.
4. Security and Monitoring
To maintain platform safety, Civica uses device information logging, IP logging, browser fingerprinting, rate limit monitoring, automatically assigned visitor IDs (even for unsigned users), and abuse detection systems. Using the platform means you consent to these protections. If you do not agree, do not use the map.
5. Offline Caching and Local Storage
Civica stores approximately 20 MB of map tiles, pins, and UI data on your device to ensure access during outages. You may not tamper with offline caches, attempt to poison or corrupt offline data, or interfere with map availability or caching behavior.
6. Enforcement
We may suspend or terminate access if you violate this AUP, threaten community safety, submit harmful or misleading content, abuse platform functionality, or evade previous enforcement actions. We may also remove content that violates these rules.
7. Reporting Violations
